Who are the Deadly Sista Girlz?

Deadly Sista Girlz Aboriginal Corporation formally known as Goori Girls Biggest Loser was established in September 2009 when two Coffs Harbour women Noelene Skinner & Fiona Hyland applied for the series “The Biggest Loser”.

These two inspiring Aboriginal women made it to the final cut,  however did not make it into the show.  They then decided to provide a program in the Coffs Harbour area to other Goori Women in Healthier Lifestyles for themselves & their familes.

An initial 10 week pilot was so successful which has lead to the formation of the Deadly Sista Girlz Aboriginal Corporation in January 2010.

Currently Deadly Sista Girlz provide a range of programs including general fitness, Bootcamp, Aqua Aerobics, Kids Programs, Healthy Cooking, Fitness & Health tests. The programs are continually evolving & responding to the needs of its members & local community.

Deadly Sista Girlz have been recognised for their hard work & have in the past won the Grace Roberts Award for community organisation as well as the NSW Premiers Award, for the positive impact on health & lifestyle of Aboriginal women.

Deadly Sista Girlz is a Health,Fitness and Wellbeing Group who aims to improve the health of Aboriginal women and begin to play a part in closing the gap for Aboriginal Women’s health.

Deadly Sista Girlz has been continuing to run their program and is in it’s fourth year.
